Wuthering Heights is our film for August

A bold and original re-imagining of one of the greatest love stories of all time, Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights” stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff. Fennell, who directed Saltburn, delights in shocking her audience and she has pared down the story (several characters have been written out) to concentrate on Cathy and Heathcliff’s all-consuming passion.  Add in some anachronistic music and bizarre set designs and costume choices and you’re about as far from Laurence Olivier and Merle Oberon as you could get.
